sr-(Silkworm Polypeptide-1 Serinyl Lithophyllon Concinna Polypeptide-1 Dipeptide-34 Silkworm Polypeptide-1 Hexapeptide-40) is a single chain recombinant peptide produced by fermentation in E. coli. The starting gene is synthesized by the fusion of the gene from sr-Silkworm Polypeptide-1 (q.v.), r-Lithophyllon Concinna Polypeptide-1, Dipeptide-34, Hexapeptide-40 and the initiation code for serine. The fusion peptide contains 439 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation, and consists of the proper sequence from the 20 standard amino acids.
