This peptide is a dimer linked by a disulfide bridge between the cysteines, consisting of a single chain synthetic fusion peptide, produced by fermentation in Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO). The starting gene is synthesized by the fusion of the gene from sh-Polypeptide-111, Oligopeptide-163, sh-Polypeptide-117, sh-Polypeptide-94, sh-Polypeptide-95, and Pentapeptide-63. This fusion protein binds to Immunoglobulin E (IgE) and Interleukin-10 (IL-10) receptors; and it contains 605 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation, and consists of the proper sequence of the 20 amino acids.
