A pKa of 8.49(4) indicates morpholine will exist almost entirely in the cation form at pH values of 5 to 9 and therefore volatilization from water surfaces is not expected to be an important fate process(5). According to a classification scheme(6), measured BCF values of less than 0.3 to 0.65 and less than 2.8(7), suggest that bioconcentration in aquatic organisms is low(SRC).
