Ammonium thiocyanate liquor appears as an aqueous solution of a colorless crystalline solid. Contains no cyanide and therefore has low acute toxicity. Prolonged exposure may produce skin eruptions and sometimes mild or severe disturbances of the nervous system. Primary hazard is threat posed to the environment.
