R-Synechococcus Polypeptide-1 is a single chain recombinant Synechococcus protein produced by fermentation in E. coli. The starting gene is directly isolated from Synechococcus which codes for C-phycoerythrin class I subunit alpha. The protein contains 164 amino acids which may contain disulfide bonds and/or glycosylation, and consists of the proper sequence of the 20 standard amino acids.
